Four years ago, we elected Rossana to City Council on a platform of neighborhoods for the many and sent a message that machine politics was dead in the 33rd ward. As our re-election campaign has hit the streets to talk with neighbors, however, we’ve made a frightening discovery. The dead walk again! Recently, a new challenger has announced his intent to run against Rossana, and he’s supported by a rogues’ gallery of right-wing ghouls and machine vampires who for too long have drained resources from our community and our city. 

But we won’t be scared that easily. We’ve been hitting the streets all month to talk to neighbors and continue building the kind of community that works for all of us, not just the greedy few. This Halloween, we’ll be collecting signatures and sharing our vision for a safe and thriving ward while we enjoy the frightful fall festivities. And afterwards, we’ll have a costume party at the campaign office as we notarize petitions.
